Family Time and a Birthday Party

I'm not exactly sure who was more excited that my niece was turning one, her parents or the girls.  From the day we received the party invitation all we have heard was "Madalyn's birthday...Madalyn's party...we go see Madalyn".  You practiced singing Happy Birthday and would sing it daily and by the time we left you were able to correctly answer the questions" how old is Madelyn?".

We left on a Thursday evening after school and work to start our adventure.  The DVD players that Nana and Papa gave you for Christmas are heaven sent (as long as the right movie is playing).  We got to Nana and Papa's house late Thursday evening and you went right to sleep.

On Friday Nana had to work and Papa had some bricks to finish up so we decided to go on another "adventure" over to the river and explore.  It was a bit overcast when we got there, but it was still very nice out.

We walked all the way to the end of that long dock in the picture.

We saw some fish, and airplane that was flying really low.  On the way back we saw a dolphin.  It came right up to the dock.

Em as a bit under the weather and tired from the long trip so she went back to the house to nap with Papa while Lily went with us to have lunch.  We went to one of my favorite restaurants in Sebastian.  The food was so yummy and the view was great.

After lunch you and daddy went for a walk down the pier.

Nana was in charge of baths and you ladies had a blast!!!!!

Saturday was the big party day!!!!  You took an early nap so you would be ready for the party.
We're ready for the party!
Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Nicole did such a fantastic job on Madelyn's party.  Everything was perfect, the food was great and they even had a bounce house for all the kids to play in.  Since you were the first kids to arrive you got to test it out.

It was such a great party.  Here are some of my favorite pictures.

  1. Nana and Papa had so much fun in the 2 days that you were here. I can't imagine how much fun we could have in 3 or 4 days, we will have to find out.

    I forgot about "bath time"!!!!!!!
