Big Girl Play Room and Tunnel Time

Now that they girls are on the move, crawling, cruising and pulling up on everything, we felt that we needed to go through the play room and remove all the "little baby" toys. We also bought a few new "big girl" toys.  We bought the girls an activity table and a tunnel.  They took right to the activity table, they love playing with the mouse and dancing when the music plays.  They tunnel was a different story.  It took the girls several days to warm up to the tunnel, but now they love it.

9 Month Stats and Fort Time

The girls had their 9 month well visit with Dr. Koeppel today. I love her, she is such a great, caring, wonderful doctor. She was impressed with the girls movement and development. She gave us more options for food, such as dairy products. The girls had Greek yogurt for dinner and really seemed to like it. Dr. Koeppel also mentioned that their eye color is probably permanent at this stage and most likely will not change. We will have to see if she is correct.

Lily Claire at 9 months:
Weight: 17ibs 14ozs (75%)
Height: 28 1/4 inches (25%).

Emma Grace at 9 months
Weight: 16lbs 4 ozs (12%)
Height: 27 1/2 inches (50%)

We have tall skinny babies.

In addition to the doctors visit, I thought it would be fun to build a mini fort for the girls in the playroom. As soon as I put the blankets up the girls started crawling underneath it. It was fun times for all the girls (mommy included)

9 Months

9 Months...3/4 of a year old. I'm sitting here thinking how is this even possible. How are we only 3 months away from your 1st birthday. WOW time is flying. I have to admit, this is my favorite age so far. You both are doing such amazing things and learning something new everyday.

Lily- you are our precious goofball. At some point a while ago, mommy showed you the "scrunchy face" and you make the face constantly. You do it at daddy and I, and everyone else that comes into contact with you. You have no fear, you are determined and you go after what you want. You know have 4 teeth (2 on top and 2 on the bottom). Your hair is becoming crazier every day. You are still sleeping though the night (knock on wood). You are doing really well with finger foods, you love slices of avocado, banana, pears, alphabet pasta, peas and puffed rice cereal. You drink pretty well from your sippy cup.

Emma- you are the extrovert, smiley, funny girl when the camera is out of sight, but the moment the camera comes out, you become an introvert. You have the best giggles in the world and you love playing with Lily in the pack and play. You are seem to be very analytical, you can really see the gears working in your brain when you are trying to figure something out, or observing the world around you. Your hair is coming in very nicely. You have 2 teeth on the bottom and your top teeth are starting to break through. You are still sleeping though the night (knock on wood), but you still occasionally like to scream when we put you down so that I will come and check on you and you will then laugh at me and go to sleep (silly girl) You are doing really well with finger foods, you love slices of avocado, banana, pears, alphabet pasta, peas and puffed rice cereal. You drink pretty well from your sippy cup.

Here are the pictures from your 9 month birthday.

4th of July

We went to Sebastian for the 4th of July weekend. We stayed with Nana and Papa, we also got to visit with Auntie Nicole, Uncle Jimmy, Great-Grandmother, and Cousins Eric, Heather, Zach and Cody.

We got to Nana and Papa's house on Friday and it was like Christmas. Nana and Papa had a giant box filled with toys for Lily and Emma.

Enjoying our 4pm bottle.

Dinner pics

On Saturday we went to the the 4th of July Parade. The parade started at 8:30 and it was a long parade. For the most part, the girls enjoyed it, except when the semi-trucks blew their horns. Here is a sampling of the pictures from the parade.

After the parade cousins Eric, Heather, Zach and Cody came over for a BBQ. Great-Grandmother surprised us and stopped by for a little while. She has not seen the girls in 6 months and could not get over how big they have gotten. After the BBQ we went up the the park to see the festivities and go to the river.

Sunday was actually July 4th, so we had another BBQ with more family. In the girls toy box, papa bought a blow up pool for the girls. It was supposed to rain later in the day so we tried out the pool in the morning. Lily was napping so Emma got to do a "dry run" in the pool.

Once Lily woke up it was time for a swim.

After the big swim, we just hung out with family.

We had a great 4th of July weekend. It was to short, we can't wait to see everyone again.
