Easter 2011

Easter was fun this year.  The girls are starting to get an idea of what is going on.  The Easter Bunny came for a visit and left some fun stuff.

Later we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for lunch and an Easter Egg Hunt.  The girls had some practice so it was fun to see them go after the eggs.

Hippity Hoppity Easter's On It's Way

I was so excited to go to the twins club Easter Party.  I've been a member for over a year, but we have not gone to any events as a family until this one.  The girls were too young last year, but this year was perfect.  It was at a beautiful park, the weather cooperated (we had a very bad storm early in the morning).  It was so much fun to be surrounded with all the twins. They had a great playground and we had an easter egg hunt.  That was my favorite part, the girls loved it.  It took an egg or two for them to grasp the concept, but then they were off.  They were so cute with their baskets walking around grabbing eggs.  It was a glance into the future easter egg hunts...it will only get better!!!

All the twins in this picture are within 1 month of each other

All the twins, it looks like Alanna took Emma's basket :-)

18 Months

The past 18 months have been the best and the hardest of our lives.  Everyday brings a new adventure and some are better than others.  I love going in to get the girls in the morning and they are smiling and so happy to see us.  I count to three and turn the light on, Lily usually sneezes a few times. During the week we go to visit Ms. Regina and all our friends.  On the weekend we have family time. You love going to the park.  Lily you love the slide and would play on it all day.  Emma, you love to swing on the swings.  Looks like we need to get a playground

The girls are changing everyday and becoming more and more independent.  There are new words everyday.  They are like little sponges, and it it truly amazing to see their brains working.

Lily- you are such a joy.  You are so outgoing and love to say "hi" to everyone you see.  You have the cheesiest smile and are a bit of a ham when the camera is out.  You have 14 teeth and two more are coming in.  I love to put your hair in piggy tails.  You love to cuddle with daddy in the mornings and mommy in the evenings.  You love books and reading them.  You still look so much like mommy!

Emma- you are the sweetest child I know.  You are so serious and take everything in, but you also have the best laugh and such a beautiful smile. You have 16 teeth.  I love that you can see the gears in your brain working.  You are the most adorable walk/run/trot.  You remind us of "Stuart" on Mad TV...look what I can do.  You are very independent and I love that you read the books to yourself.  Your hair is coming in very thick and you have the cutest little curl on the back.  You still look so much like daddy!

2nd Life

I've heard it over and over again, "don't spend to much on clothes because they grow out of them so quickly."  Well, I can tell you that my girls have not followed that advice.  We have a pair of 3 month pants, yes that is right my almost 18 month old girls are still wearing 3 month pants.  I really think that they are mislabeled :-)

See, I'm not a crafty mom and even though I have grand thoughts, I will not be making any of their clothes.  I am however a thrifty mama.  This past fall when I was boxing up some of the girls spring/summer clothes, I could not bring myself to box up their spring/summer dresses.  I am so glad that I had the forethought, because they are making the most adorable tops this spring. So my advice to all moms out there, dresses can have a 2nd life in your little one's closet :-)

Springtime Tallahassee 2011

We went to Spring Time Tallahassee again this year.  Grandma and Auntie Peggy joined us this time.  You really liked the parade and walking around seeing everything.  I hope that this is a yearly event for us.
