Love this! I saw it on Pinterest! Such a cute idea Laureen!
ReplyDeleteLove your art work. That's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love this, for my 2yo twins! :) May I pin it to Pinterest?
ReplyDeleteSara Joy, not a problem at all.
DeleteI'm looking to do this for a whole class. What else could be used instead of canvas?
ReplyDeleteYou can use paper or even cardstock. I have seen people use both.
DeleteI saw this on Pinterest and did it with my daughter. She's under a year, so I had to watch her to make sure she didn't eat the paint, but she had a ton of fun. We spelled out "Dad" and gave it to my husband, where he made a frame for it and proudly hung it in his woodworking shop.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the idea! I posted a blog about my experience and a picture of our finished project over at my blog at www.bigheartslittlehands.wordpress.com. It's actually my first post! :)
saw this reposted on PINTEREST and loved it....I'm planning a crayola b-day party for my daughter who is turning 3 this summer and i think this will be the craft / take home souviener for all the kids. Thanks for the idea!!!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVED this! We did it on fingerpaint paper, so the tape removed very easily. I blogged it today and linked to you. Thanks for a fun project!
ReplyDeleteDid you use painter's tape? Trying to do this with my niece this weekend and my mom and I are having some differences of opinions.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it's painter's tape, but she's afraid that it'll rip the canvas?
It was blue painters tape that was used. It did not pull the canvas as all. I have done others with regular masking tape and that worked also.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thank you so much!! She will have a blast with this!
DeleteThese turned out great! Would it be ok if I shared an image from this post in a blog post about Tape Resist Art?
ReplyDeleteThanks!

Kim, that would be great! Be sure to link it back so I can go visit :)

ReplyDeleteThis seems like a great project. I want to get a canvas piece with my wife's name on it for her birthday, but I like the ones that are pictures of letters. Where can I find one of these?
